Frequently Asked Questions About OsteoMax
Why is drinking OsteoMax better than
taking ordinary calcium tablets?
Because stomach acid production diminishes with age, elderly people may be
unable to utilize calcium carbonate tablets. Calcium carbonate tablets need
to be taken with food so that stomach acids are able to dissolve the
supplement. In other words it is not bioavailable and therefore cannot be
absorbed. OsteoMax™ delivers bioavailable, highly absorbable calcium.
Why is effervescent calcium better?
Calcium is more rapidly, more consistently and more completely absorbed from
a supplement that has been solubilized and buffered against pH variations in
the GI tract. When you drop an OsteoMax™ tablet in water it becomes a
soluble, buffered calcium solution.
Why does OsteoMax contain L Lysine?
OsteoMax is a calcium supplement that utilizes L Lysine as an integral part
of the delivery system. L Lysine has been shown to maximize and increase the
absorption of calcium.*
